Solara is a Mediterranean villa shaped for long, sun soaked days and warm Brisbane evenings. Designed by Sage and Cove Interiors, this Ashgrove home has been carefully curated to feel soft, light filled and inviting, with Champagne Bronze hardware from Touch Handles quietly sparkling through every space.
A home that glows from within
The name Solara, meaning "of the sun", captures the vision behind this residence. From the moment you step through the three meter high entry doors, the home opens to a dramatic six meter void that draws natural light deep into the interior and creates an immediate sense of calm.
Curved walls, softened corners and arched openings guide you gently from room to room. Natural stone, timber and creamy plaster finishes are layered with custom lighting, generous glazing and lush greenery so every surface feels warm and tactile.
Champagne Bronze handles and knobs from Touch Handles are dotted through the home like jewellery, catching the light as you move and creating a subtle glow that ties each zone together.
Soft curves and considered details
At the heart of Solara is a sculptural kitchen and butlers pantry wrapped in warm timber joinery. A fluted white onyx island anchors the space, its creamy tones echoing the soft veining of the stone splashback and the gentle curve of the custom rangehood.
The Vesio D Handle in Champagne Bronze has been used throughout the kitchen and pantry for a calm, cohesive finish. Its slim profile and softly rounded corners echo the architecture around it, while the unique European made finish adds a refined shimmer without feeling showy.
Elevating the everyday spaces
The warmth of Solara extends beyond the main kitchen into the hardest working rooms of the home. In the laundry, vertical feature tiles, pale stone and timber joinery are finished with the same Vesio handle in Champagne Bronze.
The consistent hardware choice keeps utility spaces feeling just as considered as the hero rooms. Linen pressing, school uniforms and washing day essentials are all handled in a space that feels inviting and calm rather than purely functional.
Playful outdoor entertaining
Outside, a generous alfresco kitchen and dining zone continues the story. Textured stone underfoot and lush greenery frame a relaxed space ideal for weekend barbecues and long lunches.
Here, the cabinetry is finished with the Veda knob in Champagne Bronze. Cute as a button and perfectly paired with the Vesio collection, Veda brings a slightly more playful silhouette to the outdoor joinery while keeping the finish consistent from inside to out.
This small but thoughtful choice means the hardware finish flows from the warm tones of the interior into the fresh, leafy outdoor setting without a visual break.
