It all started in a back shed. Our founder, John Steen, began hand-crafting ring pulls in his home workshop, selling them to furniture makers around Melbourne. What started as one man's passion for craft and quality slowly grew into something far bigger — a family-owned business that today supplies hardware to cabinetmakers, joiners, and furniture manufacturers right across Australia.
That business became Dorset Australia, and for over thirty years it has operated from its home base in Bendigo, Victoria — building deep relationships with the world's leading suppliers and an intimate, hard-earned knowledge of what quality really feels like. Touch Handles is the consumer expression of everything Dorset has learned over those three decades.
